About the Role

As a Founding Full-Stack Engineer (ideally, frontend leaning), you're more than just a developer. You’ll join a fast-moving engineering team that operates with a high level of ownership and a user-first mentality. You’ll engage directly with users at biotech companies to understand their workflows, redesign and build better experiences, and ship high-quality production UIs. Your work will directly impact how biopharma teams run clinical trials and how quickly patients can get access to life-changing therapies.

You won’t just be writing code. You’ll be building a product that biotech teams rely on to make critical decisions, accelerate trial timelines, and deliver therapies to patients faster. You’ll work directly with users, iterate rapidly, and build systems that scale with our company’s growth.

We’re reimagining how biotech users interact with their data. Our goal is to build a responsive, intelligent product experience that adapts to specific roles, empowers action, and feels effortless, even when handling complex data and decision workflows.

What You’re Looking For

• Ownership & Product Craft: As a founding engineer, you’ll drive how our product looks and feels from first click to insight delivery. You’ll make critical decisions that shape the user experience and visual language of Miracle.
• Full User Focus: You care deeply about how products flow, feel, and respond. You’re not just building interfaces; you’re solving problems and removing friction for real people.
• Design + Engineering Blend: From component architecture to user experience, you think in systems and flows.
• Real-World Impact: Your work helps accelerate clinical trials and improve healthcare for patients waiting on new treatments.

What You’ll Do

• Design and Build: Craft responsive, performant, and intuitive UIs using React/Next.js/TypeScript, while diving into backend code when needed to support end-to-end features.
• Polish and Iterate: Lead interaction design, drive UI consistency, and raise the quality bar across the frontend experience.
• User Research & Feedback Loops: Talk to real users at biotech companies to understand their workflows and translate pain points into meaningful solutions.
• Own Frontend Systems: Help architect and maintain our frontend stack, design system, and UX patterns.
• Full-Stack Flexibility: Collaborate across the stack when needed to integrate frontend features with backend APIs and data pipelines.
• Collaborate Closely: Work tightly with the CEO, engineers, and biotech users to translate needs into powerful product experiences.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• 3+ Years Experience: Ideally in early-stage startups or high-ownership engineering roles.
• Frontend Expertise: Fluency in React/Next, TypeScript, HTML/CSS. You've shipped polished user-facing features in production.
• Full-Stack Capability: You're comfortable working across the stack, whether integrating APIs, building backend logic, or improving deployment workflows.
• Design-Product Sensibility: You have a sharp product eye and can contribute to user experience conversations.
• Systems Thinking: You architect reusable, scalable components and flows that reduce tech debt over time.
• SF Location: Ability to join us 3+ days a week at our new SF office located near Montgomery Station
